If you were an exhibitor or an attendee at PV America this year, we hope you had a successful show! It was exciting to see everyone, and it’s always a treat to have a trade show so close to home (it’s only a little over a 3 hour drive to Boston for us, and pretty much a straight shot, almost all interstate). The venue was nice, and while small, it was definitely a show worth attending for us, as we got to rub elbows with lots of people that we currently work with, as well as future partners in the Northeast. If you stopped by our booth, thank you!
This year there was an overwhelming response to two of our solar roof mounts that were engineered for attaching modules to metal roofing. Our ASG-U Clamps, and our CorruSlide Bracket (which coincidentally soft-launched at PV America 2014!)
When you’re looking for a means of attaching an array to any roof, you want to be sure that the system you’ll be using follows certain protocols – some of the most important being:
- Maintains the integrity of the roof
- Won’t void roofing manufacturer’s warranties
- Fast and easy to install
- Hassle-free, no guessing
- Strong pullout value
- Made in the U.S.A.
Many of our customers work with metal roofing often, so here’s a closer look at both systems, to give you a better understanding of how they work.
Our ASG-U Clamps are manufactured by sister company Alpine SnowGuards, and have become the “go-to” product for solar installs on standing seam roofs due to the fact that they are an extremely cost-effective solution, and the installation of the ASG-U Clamps will not pierce the roofing material, always maintaining the integrity of your roof.
- Fast and easy to install
- Durable AL fabrication
- Clamp measures 2″ L x 1.5″ W
- Configurations for both vertical and horizontal seams
- Set screws provide a secure attachment point without penetrating roofing materials
- Clamp-to-seam technology won’t void panel manufacturer’s warranties

Almost all of the installers we’ve talked to who install on corrugated metal roofs have said the same thing: They need a mounting solution that will work with any corrugated metal profile (even trapezoidal) and will have a strong pullout value, while maintaining the watertight properties that are integral in all array installs.
The universal design of the CorruSlide Bracket allows attachment to the sides of the panel ribs, as opposed to in the valleys, where water flows and moisture accumulates, as well as North-South AND East-West adjustability. CorruSlide is the only system like it on the market. We figured, why do it the wrong way, when there’s a simple, ideal solution?
The bracket works as a hinge so it can easily fit wide or narrow seams. 5 fastener points ensure overall strength and durability, while the pre-applied gasket tape adds additional watertight protectiveness. Fast, easy and hassle-free, just like all of the products in the EcoFasten line.
Check out this 30 second video of CorruSlide shot last summer during Intersolar in San Francisco.

If you weren’t able to make it to PVA this year, and would like a free sample of either product, or any product in our line, just let us know.
Hopefully after reading this, you’ll have a better understanding of each system – if you find you do have questions, don’t ever hesitate to email us – that’s what we’re here for! And remember, we have a watertight solar roof mount solution for all roof types – new or retrofit.
See you all in 4 short months at Intersolar 2015 – we’ll be at booth #9738.
